Hypnosis: a Wonderful Law of Attraction Tool

Hypnosis: a Wonderful Law of Attraction Tool

hypnosis

Hypnosis is a wonderful law of attraction tool since it promotes a rapid personal change. It is used in an effective way to change perceptions, behaviors, feelings and emotions that cause limiting beliefs. When you eliminate limiting beliefs you will be more successful in attracting the life of your dreams.

Hypnosis, also referred to as hypnotherapy or hypnotic suggestion, is a state of heightened focus, concentration and inner absorption. Under hypnosis you will usually feel calm and relaxed, and are more open than usual to suggestions that can change unwanted behaviors or emotions. Although you are more open to suggestion during hypnosis, you do not lose control over your behavior and your free will remains intact.

Hypnosis can be used for:

  • Goals and Dreams
  • Motivation
  • To Feel Good
  • Positive Thinking
  • Self-Love
  • Pain control
  • Mental health conditions
  • Smoking cessation
  • Surgical preparation
  • Childbirth
  • Weight loss
  • Athletic performance
  • Dental procedures
  • Changing limiting beliefs
  • Reduce stress
    …..and much more
  • You don’t need any special preparation for hypnosis, but it is a good idea to wear loose, comfortable clothing. Also, be sure to be well rested so you’re not inclined to fall asleep during the session.

There are various methods of hypnosis but these are the most common:

    Traditional Hypnosis

This method is performed by a hypnotherapist. The therapist will take you through a relaxation process or you will be given a simple mental task to focus on.

This is followed by direct suggestions to the subconscious mind. These are divided into two types: direct suggestion (“You are feeling relaxed now”) and indirect suggestion (a metaphor or analagie may be used). During hypnosis a posthypnotic suggestion (instructions) is given for an action or response to take place after the hypnotic experience. After the session the mind utilizes post-hypnotic suggestions which help create the inner change. It may be for an action, a feeling or an internal physical change to occur.

    Self-Hypnosis

With this method you do not need to have a hypnotherapist present. Like meditation, self-hypnosis draws on the same “relaxation response” that helps you to relax your body.

Affirmations are often used as a part of self-hypnosis to manage stress and build self-confidence. If you choose to use affirmations as part of your session, prepare them before you start as you will not want to have to try to think about them when you have reached a deep state of relaxation.

To perform self-hypnosis, find a quiet and comfortable place to sit. Relax your body by closing your eyes and imagining waves of relaxation flowing through your body from the top of your head downwards. Let the waves be in rhythm with your breathing. Feel all the muscles in your body relax as the waves gently washes over them.

To deepen your state of relaxation use suggestions such as “I am feeling very relaxed and comfortable”. Let yourself feel your arms and legs getting heavier and more relaxed.

Once you have reached a state of total relaxation, use the statements and affirmations you have prepared. Combine these with relaxation suggestions.

There is no “deadline” for self-hypnosis, but typically they can last between 15 to 25 minutes. However, they can last as long as you want.
